As one of The Finney Search Group’s Co-Founders, Chris helped develop the company into a unique and specialized search firm. Chris assisted in establishing the foundation of the mission of The Finney Search Group and has been a major driver of the firm’s growth in the independent school search field.

Following the direction of the company’s namesake, Reddy Finney, Chris’s commitment to the Teacher-Coach Model guides him in matching outstanding candidates with great schools. With more than 30 years’ experience in sports and business, Chris concentrates much of his time fitting the coaching “piece of the puzzle” into his search efforts when placing candidates.

Chris also leads The Finney Search Group team when finding candidates for fellowship programs. He has developed an extensive network of contacts and understands the programs available for young teacher-coaches to secure opportunities in the independent school education world. Chris’s educational experience is unique in that he enjoys the benefit of his dyslexic learning style. He understands how different approaches are needed to successfully reach and teach students in schools.

BACKGROUND

A native of Baltimore, Chris graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he played lacrosse. Prior to UNC, he attended Gilman School, where he played three sports.
